Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery Miss Lindsay taught us about St. Patrick's Day! an Irish holiday that is celebrated in Ireland and America on March 17th!! The holiday is usually represented by the color green and the many symbols of Ireland such as Leprechauns, four leaf clovers and most importantly Rainbows!!! She read us a story about an Leprechaun names Roy G. Biv who asks a girl named Colleen on St. Patrick's Day to help him build a rainbow so he can find his treasure!
After the story we talked more about rainbows and about the colors that make them up! There Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.
Miss Lindsay gave of strips of paper in the colors of the rainbow and we had to glue them on to a paper plate that looked like a cloud! We had to put the colors in the right order! Then Miss Lindsay said we will hang them around the class room to add some color!!
