Welcome back and Happy Halloween!!!!! We hope everyone was safe these last few days! 

Today we are celebrating Halloween in Nursery!!! Everyone came dressed up in something spooky! Even Miss Lindsay came dressed as a witch!!! We started the day off by making a scary ghost using cotton!

We had to glue the cotton on and then the eyes! Our little ghost friends get to come home with us!!

Then we sang some Halloween songs with Miss Lindsay! After we had a fun party with so many delicious treats so we won't need to do any tricking later!!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery and Reception Miss Lindsay and Miss Paola prepared a surprise for us! We got to learn about the Halloween tradition of th Jack-o-lantern!

Miss Lindsay showed us the outside and the inside of the pumpkin.

Then she drew a face on the pumpkin.

Next she cut out the eyes, nose and mouth!

Last she put a light in it so we could see how it would look with a candle in it at night! Did you know that Jack-o-lanterns were used to help protct people from the bad spirits??

Next we got to feel the inside of the pumpkins with the seeds still inside.

It felt slimy, wet and cold! It was a lot of fun, now won't you carve one with us this weekend???

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had Music with Miss Elena and Reception. We learned about rhythm and played with some instruments.

Then the 3 year olds played with some paint in a very different way with Miss Lindsay. She put some drops of paint in a plastic bag.

Then we moved our hands and fingers around to push the paint inside the bag. This made the colors mix. It was a weird feeling, but really fun to play with the paint with out making a mess!! 

Then Miss Lindsay showed us what the paint was to become!! An Autumn leaf!!!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery we started our day with a Welcome song along with Reception!

We danced and sang with Miss Helen and Miss Paola.

Then Miss Paola read us a story about fear in Italian. We talked about our fears and what to do.

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery, Miss Lindsay had us work ona fun Halloween craft!

First she traced our hand on some black paper...

Then we had to take the puncher to punch holes to cut out our hand! The paper was folded in half so it was more difficult then usual!

Then we opened them up and glued two little yellow dots.

What a surprise when we realized we had made an itsy bitsy spider out of our own hands!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had our first lesson with the new Music teacher Miss Elena!!

Together with Miss Helen and Reception we had a lot of fun dancing and singing!! We learned new songs that were very entertaining!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we painted paper plates with Miss Stephanie!

Can you guess what they might become???? 

That's right!! Pumpkins!!!!!! We are starting to get the room ready for Halloween!! We made these by sponge painting the plates orange!

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi i bambini hanno cominciato la giornata ballando e cantando delle simpatiche canzoncine di saluto in inglese.

Poi con Miss Paola hanno decorato il loro amico "Piccolo Riccio" utilizzando la tecnica del punteruolo e......

.......poi incollando gli aqulei di carta sulla sua schiena.

Ed eccoli qui i nostri "Piccoli Ricci" in tutta la loro bellezza! Saranno contenti di tenerci compagnia tutti i giorni e di decorare la nostra sezione!!!!

Buon pomeriggio! Questa mattina i bambini hanno fatto il laboratorio artistico con il Prof. Luca scoprendo come le linee possono avere diverse forme.

Hanno rappresentato sul foglio la storia di due punti che dandosi la mano hanno formato una linea e questa linea andò a passeggiare dapprima in collina e poi in montagna.

Con Miss Paola poi hanno finalmente completato il loro amico riccio aggiungendo gli aculei che mancavano sulla sua schiena. 

Bello usare le nostre manine come stampino!!!!!

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi insieme a miss Paola abbiamo letto la storia di "Piccolo Riccio" che non voleva dormire e abbiamo insegnato a lui come fare a rilassarsi e pian piano addormentarsi.

Poi abbiamo colorato il nostro "Piccolo Riccio".........

...... e attaccato il simpatico nasino rosso.

Eccolo qui in tutta la sua bellezza! Ma.......manca ancora qualcosa! Domani scopriremo cosa..........!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery we learned how to play corners!

This is an activity that helps learn to understand how to wait our turn.

Only a set number can play at each station at a time.

It was really fun and we can't wait to do it again!!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery we worked with Miss Lindsay on some artwork for Autumn.

We are making Owl Puppets!

First we have to color the owl and then we will glue them to paper bags to make fun puppets!

When we had finished we played with the blocks to build castles!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had a fun time making some Autumn themed art work.

We took leaves that we found out in the garden and used sponges to paint over them. Miss Lindsay helped us. We used Autumn colors like red, yellow, brown and orange. It was really cool!

Then we enjoyed the lovely weather and had our snack outside! Autumn time is pretty cool!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had a special visitor! Miss Paola brought her pet turtle Muffin to show the class.

We talked about how turtles go into hibernation during autumn and winter!

We got to see the colors and talked about how they were in important to help the turtle hide from predators.

We learned what each of the parts of the turtle were called and about what they eat.

It was so cool!!!
