Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we worked on our Memory Books!! Today's topic was the Family so first we talked about our families with Miss Lindsay!

Then she asked us to draw a picture of our family! We discovered that many of us only have 3 family members while there are others with 4! There are even 3 of us with 5 family members!!!! Miss Lindsay said we did a really great job drawing our families!!

Good afternoon!!  Today in Nursery we finished working on our Christmas crafts! some of us still had to paint them and then altogether we added the finishing touches, which we won't show you here!! Some things still need to be a surprise!!

Then in the after lunch we worked on Socio Effetivo with Miss Helen. We talked about Christmas and what is special about Santa Claus (or Father Christmas as she calls him). Then we had to color some print outs that featured Christmas scenes!!

Some had trees, while others had Santa!

good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we started off by discussing the weather with Miss Paola!! We had to hang the clouds up because it was very cloudy this morning!

Then Miss Paola did Maths with us and we talked about "Grande" and" Piccolo". We had to point out things in the room that were big and small. Then while the bigger kids worked in their workbook, the little ones played!

We had to color the Big bottle in felt tip and the smaller bottle in crayon!

We had to make sure to color the correct one to prove we listened to Miss Paola!

Then after lunch we continued to work on our Christmas Crafts with Miss Lindsay!

We could choose from red or white to paint!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we talked about Colors with Miss Lindsay!!! We learned what a Rainbow is and what colors there are in it!! We then had to look around the room to find the 6 colors in the room. Then she divided us up into groups and we had to separate our colors from the blocks.

The blocks came in all 6 colors and once we divided them we got to play with them!!

The Green group!

And the Blue group!!

After we played for a bit, we talked about all the fruits and vegetables that have these same 6 colors!! There is truly a rainbow of fruit and vegetables that we have around us!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery Miss Lindsay read a really funny story to us about a father rabbit having trouble counting all his babies!! We kept laughing at all his attempts to keep track!!

We also practised for our Christmas concert with Miss Elena and Miss Helen!! 

They said we are starting to do really good and that we are almost ready for next week!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we celebrated Rebecca's 4th birthday!!! And we started work on our Christmas craft with Miss Lindsay!!!

She showed us how to make salt dough!!! It's a simple recipe....2 parts flour, 1 part salt and 1 part water (or as much as needed). You mix it together and knead it like bread until you get a uniform dough!! Miss Lindsay said you can play with like Play-doh and that it keeps for weeks in the fridge!

You can leave it out to dry for a few days or you can bake it in the oven!! There are lots of things you can do with it!! you can make shapes or prints!!

We are making something special with our hand prints!! We just know you will love them!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we worked on Maths with Miss Paola.

She talked about the difference between "dentro" and "fuori"!

Then we had to color in our Maths book. She told us to color the ducks that were "dentro" the lake!

So we couldn't color the other ones!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we practised for the concert with Miss Paola and Miss Helen. It was fun because we got to go on the stage. After we did Weekend News with Miss Lindsay and it was very exiting to hear what all our friends did this weekend! So many great holiday activities!!

Then, after lunch, we practised our hand movements by doing a crafts.

 We had to roll red tissue paper into balls!

Lots and lots of balls!!

Then we had to glue them onto the hat!

We had to make sure to cover all this space!!!!

Then we took cotton and had to glue it to the ball and the band of the hat!!

It was a little sticky but after we had a great 3D Santa Hat!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started the day off with Miss Lindsay singing our weather song and doing roll call. After that, she colored a beautiful Christmas tree as we told her what colors to use! Then she gave each of us a photocopy that we had to color copying the exact colors that she used!

We chose yellow for the stars and red for the tree skirt!

We did green for the tree and orange for the garland!

Then we picked blue for the big circles and purple for the small! She said we all did really well coloring and staying in the lines!!!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery we had an exciting visitor...... Saint Nicholas!!!!

He brought each one of us a sweet surprise.

While we were waiting for him, all very anxiously, we did Corners together with Reception. 

Corners is always fun because we get to play with different types of toys and we have to pay attention to how many spots there are at each station!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started the day off by talking with Miss Lindsay about what we hoped Saint Nicholas would bring us. Then after snack, to make sure Saint Nicholas doesn't get to worn out on his travels, we made him bread! Miss Lindsay showed us the ingredients and explained to us what they do. Then she showed us how to mix it all together!

When the bread dough was all mixed and ready we were each given a piece to shape in to a perfect bun.

It was not that easy because it couldn't be a ball,

but it couldn't be flat either. It had to be round on one side and flat on the other!

Then we sent them down to the kitchen to be baked! After, when they were ready, Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay had us color a picture of Saint Nicholas and they wrapped up the bread for us to take home! It was a really great day! and now we just have to wait for Saint Nicholas!!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started the day with Miss Lindsay by reading a book about Monsters who don't cry even when bad things happen.

Then we talked about what is unpleasant for us and had to draw a picture of it for our Memory Book. Some of us said storms, others said being stung by bees. There were a few who said it was unpleasant when they were alone and no one wanted to play with them.

Good afternoon and welcome to December!! Today in Nursery we worked on Weekend News with Miss Lindsay!! We had to tell the group what we did over the weekend! Then Miss Lindsay read a book that Giulio brought to share! It was a fun English book about apples and sharing!

After we had to draw the biggest apple ever!

Some of the apples were red and some were green!

Then we helped Miss Lindsay to create a Santa Claus for our wall!

He will be with our reindeer we made!
