Good afternoon! Today in Nursery we continued to work on our Grandparents Day gifts. 

We had some more leaves to punch out. Its hard and tiring work but its so nice to say we did it ourselves!

Then we colored a sign wishing them a Happy Grandparents Day. We still have to color a second one!

Then we had a nice lunch with rice and tomato sauce!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started to work on our gifts for Grandparents Day! We are making a wonderful surprise for them!

We can't wait to show both sets of grandparents what we have made for them!

Good afternoon! We are continuing our discussion of autumn fruits and vegetables. A big thank you to the parents and students who have helped us by bringing in some lovely examples from their own gardens!

We had so many things to look at! Rachele showed us her Pomegranates and Figs.

Lorenzo showed us his walnuts and how they are before in the green fruit.

Anna showed us her Pumpkin and Chestnuts!

Matteo showed us his Jujubes!

Leo and Mia showed their Corn and Olives!

Miss Paola showed us her plumbs.

In Nursery we played with the cars and animals after break.

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started by welcoming in Autumn. The 21st is the first day of Autumn so it was only right for us to learn about what that means.

Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay talked about what happens in Autumn and how the weather changes. We also learned about what fruits and vegetables are in season. We learned that some classmates have these fruits at and are going to bring them to class so we can see and maybe taste them!

Then Miss Paola read us a story about Autumn leaves. It was a nice story about how the leaves wanted to be like butterflies.

Then after snack time we played with the stickle bricks and the meccanico toys where we got to build anything that our imaginations could come up with!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we met Maestra Michela who will be teaching us sport. We cant wait to start doing more games with her. Then with Miss Lindsay we worked on our first entry to our Memory Book.

The Memory Book is something we work on for all three years of asilo. Every year we have the same papers to fill out so the teachers can compare our growth and progress. Today we started out with a free drawing and could draw whatever we wanted.

Then we had some free time where we could play with the Legos and wooden blocks.

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery Miss Helen read a beautiful book that Matteo A. brought to share. It was called "Pirates Love Underpants". The book was really funny!

After the story we had to draw a picture about the book. There were many things we could draw!

There were pirates, sharks, crocodiles, ships, treasure maps and of course underpants!

Good afternoon everyone! Today in Nursery we got to see the "fruits of our labour" from our grape smashing yesterday. We saw our juice and learned about the next part of the wine making process. 

We didn't get to taste it because it had already started to ferment. The grapes were just that sweet! We did get to smell it and see how the color had changed and how there was some sediments.

The 4 year olds went to the Sala Arte to paint their own bunches of grapes. They used their fingertips and green paint to make the grapes.

And brown felt tip markers to color the stems. It was messy but fun!

The 3 year olds used green and brown tissue paper to glue on their grape bunches.

They had to take the paper and wrinkle it to make little balls.

Good afternoon! We had a great day today in Nursery. We started the day singing songs altogether. We have anew song to start the day with that Miss Helen and Lindsay have taught us.

Today we learned about how wine is made. The teachers explained how the grapes are picked, seperated and then smashed to create grape juice which is then left to sit untill itbecomes wine. Then we found out that we would get to do it! 

We went out side and sat at the tables.

The teachers gave us the grapes that Anna brought. We had to pick the grapes off of the bunches.

There were a lot of grapes, luckily we have a lot of hands.

And the grapes were really good, as some of us sneaked a taste!

Then once all the grapes had been picked off we finally got to SMASH them!

This was the best part!

They felt so squishy between our fingers and sticky!

Now we just have to wait until tomorrow to taste our juice!

Hello everyone and welcome back to school! Here in Nursery we are having a great time getting to know all the new kids! We have 4 new kids in Nursery 4 and 4 new ones in our Nursery 3 class! We have such a great mix of kids this year, one from America, one who lived in Spain and two who have come from the Pianca Nido. It has been so much fun learning about the school and our new friends

Miss Paola is teaching us all about our Lion name tags and how they work after Miss Helen explained the class rules.

Here we are having some play time so we can get to know one another and make new friendships.

Here some of the 3 year olds are starting to get to know one another.

Miss Paola is tlking with the 4 year olds and telling them what they will be doing this year.
