Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had our last play practice before the final show!! We are almost ready!!!!

Then we worked on Playtime with Miss Lindsay where we heard a new story about our friends playing together!!

We had to do a few exercises in our book!! There were mazes, matching and finding the difference between two images!!! We love Playtime!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we finished our work on our Flower and Sabbiarelli project with Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay! We started with Miss Paola showing us a calendar that has a different flower associated with every week of the year!! 

We then took our colored sand flowers and Miss Lindsay placed them on a poster where she and Miss Paola wrote " Grazie Primavera!". We decided this was the best way to celebrate both the projects together!

Miss Lindsay had each of us help glue our flowers on! Then she added some green rolled up crate paper to make stems!

Then we used a big white bow to bring the stems together!! In the end we had a beautiful bouquet!! Our gift to say thank you to spring! You can see our poster outside of the classroom!!

Then after break we worked with Miss Lindsay on our Memory Book! The topic today was "I am afraid when". There were many different things said!

Some said of the dark, many said of dinosaurs and there was even one who was afraid of rain! It is interesting to learn about what fears our friends have and to find out that they have the same ones as us!

Good afternoon!! Today was a very special day in Nursery!! Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay have decided to incorporate two projects we have to work on. One is with the Sabbiarelli and the other is a flower project for Spring. They decided that we would decorate flowers using the colored sand!!

Miss Paola started by explaining what we would be doing and how flowers are important in Spring! Then Miss Lindsay showed us the materials we would be using!

The sand is very colorful and almost glittery.

First we had to punch out the flowers!

Then the teachers would put the glue on and we had to add the sand. 

We could choose what color we anted to do the rest of the flower. There were so many to choose from: Red, Blue, Light Blue, Purple, Pink and Orange!!

 It was so much fun!! Now we just have to put together the poster!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we celebrated Spring!! Miss Lindsay talked to us about flowers and how during Spring they start to bloom!! She gave us paper and tissue paper! We had to rip the tissue paper into pieces and glue a green strip to the paper!

Little by little we glues the pieces of tissue paper on top of the Green strip!! Some of us had Red and the others Pink!

Then after some hard work we had a flower!! Each one was different from the others!! It was so fun using our hands to rip and then glue!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we started the day with play practice!!! We are getting closer to the big day so it is getting even more important that we get things just right!!

Then after break we did Playtime with Miss Lindsay!! We heard the story about our friends Monkey, Melody, Star, Twig and Rocket!!

The story talked about the colors of the rainbow! In our books there was an unfinished rainbow!

We to finish it by coloring in the missing colors!!

There was Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Blue, Blue and Purple!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery, Miss Lindsay read us a really nice story about a dinosaur! then she took our dinosaur toys and placed them in the middle of the circle!

We had to draw a picture of a dinosaur of our choice! We could use one from the story or we could use on of the toys for inspiration!

It was really fun getting to do the drawings on the floor instead of at the table!!

We had some really creative dinosaurs!! Miss Lindsay had a hard time with some of the names!! We knew more than she did about dinosaurs!!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery we started the day by working on Weekend News with Miss Lindsay! then after lunch we colored a flower with colored pencils!

Miss Lindsay said we had to color the stem and leaves in green and the center yellow. She said we could color the petals how ever we wanted!

Once we finish coloring we are going to cut them out and then put them on the wall to help our room look more like spring!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Nursery Miss Lindsay taught us about St. Patrick's Day! an Irish holiday that is celebrated in Ireland and America on March 17th!! The holiday is usually represented by the color green and the many symbols of Ireland such as Leprechauns, four leaf clovers and most importantly Rainbows!!! She read us a story about an Leprechaun names Roy G. Biv who asks a girl named Colleen on St. Patrick's Day to help him build a rainbow so he can find his treasure!

After the story we talked more about rainbows and about the colors that make them up! There Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

Miss Lindsay gave of strips of paper in the colors of the rainbow and we had to glue them on to a paper plate that looked like a cloud! We had to put the colors in the right order! Then Miss Lindsay said we will hang them around the class room to add some color!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Nursery we had Music with Miss Elena! We practiced our Italian songs for the play! They are beautiful but difficult!

Then in the afternoon we worked with Miss Lindsay on our Father's Day gift. We had to pick out beads to glue them on to our painted toilet paper roll!! We can't wait to show you the final result!!

Good afternoon!!!! Today was a great day! We got to see a really funny puppet show by Alberto De Bastiani!! He and is puppets are super funny!! The show this year was called "Il Segreto di Arlecchino e Pulcinella"!

There were a lot of us who came to watch it!!

The puppets had us rolling on the ground from laughter!! There was even the Devil who entered with fire!!

After the show, Alberto answered all of our questions about how it works! He showed us all his tricks!! We can't wait for next year when he comes back again!!

Good afternoon and Welcome Back!! We hope everyone had a great vacation! Today in Nursery we started to work on our gifts for Father's Day!!

We had to paint some toilet paper rolls with blue paint!!  Miss Lindsay showed us how!! It was really fun!!

Good afternoon!! Today we celebrated Carnevale!!!!!!!!! It was so fun to dress up and come to school!!! We loved seeing our friends costumes! We had lots of princesses and super heroes! There were some animals and some even real heroes!! 

The Princesses: Rapunzel, Ariel, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Aurora, Elsa, Elsa and the Little Mermaid!!

The Faeries, Flowers and Butterflies!!!

The Animals: Lion, Easter Bunny, Cat and Shark!!!!

The real heroes: Zorro, Champion Skier, Police Man, Fire Man and Saint George the knight!!

The Super Heroes: Ninja, Flash, Gatto Boy, Batman, Batman, Spider man and Spider man!!

We started the day by listening to two poems about Carnevale from Miss Paola! One talked about the streamers and why they are called what they are called in Italian!

Then we each took some streamers and ripped them in to small strips!

We took those strips and made them into rings!

We then glued the rings together to makes chains!!

Some of us made patterns with colors, while others made patterns with size!!!

Then after we had Carnevale party with so many treats from all of you!!! There were so many yummy things!!!
